NEET Exam Will Be Held Only Once In 2021; Medical Aspirants Will Get Less Chance Now?
Speculations about the NEET exam being held multiple times were rife. On Monday, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ stated that the exam shall only be conducted one time this year, days after the date to conduct the NEET (UG) 2021 examination was announced by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Hence a full stop has been put to speculations of NEET being held multiple times, similar to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) format.
NEET To Be Conducted Only Once This Year
Pokhriyal, In a written reply in Lok Sabha, stated that in 2021, NTA will only conduct the NEET (UG) once. NTA has informed that they have not received any memorandum in this regard.
NEET is an eligibility cum entrance test for the undergraduate programme in medical sciences. This is conducted by NTA, under the Ministry of Education in consultation with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
NEET (UG) – 2021 To Be Held On 1 August
The NEET (UG) – 2021 exam will be held on August 1 in 11 languages, said the notification by NTA.
Admissions to the courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS is secured through NEET examination.
Also all other details like criteria for age, reservation, categorisation of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, State Code etc. shall be available on the website once the submission of the application form for NEET (UG) 2021 starts.
The national-level entrance test for medical and allied programmes was conducted on September 13 and the results were declared on October 16
