The model is perfect for the latest flagship in Asian markets as an entry-level smallest and most affordable SUV. The most desirable Hyundai Bayon will be exported to over 40 countries and the production work will be carried in Hyundai’s Izmit plant.
The Bayon SUV takes its name from the city of Bayonne, the capital of the French Basque Country, intending to attract European buyers. With a special and distinctive exterior style, the Hyundai Bayon emphasises Hyundai’s ’emotional sportiness’ design philosophy.
The Stylish platform and interior details
The heart of the Hyundai Bayon will be the latest feel of i20 with a rugged appearance. The massive grille flanked on both sides by large air openings. The vehicle include daytime running lights located near the hoods end emphasizing the feeling of openness, low and high beams, give it a stylish look. . The interior has a unique colour combination, comes in three different colours. A relaxed atmosphere is provided by the all-black, dark-light blue, and dark grey and green stitched upholstery, allowing the driver to concentrate on the interior.
The C-pillar, which is shaped like an arrow, offers a complex and unexpected architecture. This, combined with the fender feature and cladding, gives it a distinct personality. The semi-autonomous driving features like Lane Following Assist (LFA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) for alarming and apply the brakes to prevent a collision from occurring if necessary.
And what about Bayon’s engine ?
The Bayon SUV has a length of 4,180mm, a width of 1,775mm, and a height of 1,490mm. It will be available with 15-inch steel wheels, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 2,580mm wheel foundation. The boot room of the Bayon SUV is 411 litres. A 10.25-inch optical cluster and a 10.25-inch AVN or 8-inch Display Audio are among the connectivity features found within the Bayon SUV’s interior.
A 1.0-litre T-GDi engine with 48V and 120 or 100 PS is at the top of the lineup. This can be used in conjunction with either a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (6iMT) or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). Three drive modes are included with the 1.0-litre T-GDi engine with 48V to optimise engine response and steering efficiency depending on driving conditions. Eco, Normal, and Sport are the three options.
