This State Will Promote Every Student Of Class 9th, 10th & 11th Without Any Examination!
State of Tamil Nadu has decided to promote all the students of class 9th to class 12th, without any examination.
This has been officially announced by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
ANI confirmed this via Tweet:
Whereas for class 12th students, a new timetable and plan for the examination has been announced. For Class 12th, the main board exams will be conducted between May 3 and May 21, 2021.
Reason Behind This Decision
As per the reports, Tamil Nadu Govt is concerned about the rising Covid-19 cases during this second wave of pandemic, which is slowly and steadily engulfing entire nation.
Reports state that in states like Maharashtra, hundreds of students have been infected enmasse in colleges, and hostels, and this is the primary reason why Tamil Nadu decided to promote all Class 9th to Class 11th students, without any examination.
What Other States Are Doing?
Tamil Nadu is not the 1st state to announce such promotion of students without examination.
In June last year, Telangana State announced that all Class 10th students will be promoted to the next class, without any examination.
This month, Bihar declared that all students from Class 1 to Class 8th will be promoted, without any examination.
In April last year, CBSE Board decided to promote all students from Class 1 to 8 without any exams, and for class 9th and 11th students, the marks of previous exam was considered.
In West Bengal, 11 lakh students of Class 11th were promoted without any exams, in May last year.
