As per recent reports coming in, ATMs are no longer dispensing Rs. 2000 notes.
This has happened before in 2019, when there were speculations and rumors that Govt. of India has stopped printing Rs 2000 currency notes. There was no confirmation regarding this from the Govt.

No Notes Of Rs. 2000 In ATM Machines Of Central Bank, RBI Stops Printing Notes?
The Central Bank of India has started this trend of not dispensing the notes of Rs. 2000 from its ATM machines. The two thousand rupee notes are currently closed from the Reserve Bank of India.
Other banks have also started filling only the notes of Rs. 100, Rs. 200, and Rs. 500 in their ATMs.
The divisional head of Central Bank, LB Jha, has said that the notes of Rs. 2000 have not been received from the RBI for several months now. Reportedly, the RBI has stopped printing the notes as well.
Also, taking into consideration the crisis of the two thousand rupee notes, 58 MTM machines in the enclosure have been removed from the caliber of two thousand notes and 500 as well, so that more notes can be loaded into the ATM machines.
No Expectation Of Rs. 2000 Notes
The Union Bank has also said that ATM machines are being loaded with only Rs. 100, Rs. 200, and Rs. 500 notes. The bank has also said that there is no expectation of Rs. 2000 notes being inserted into the ATM machines. Apparently, no notes of Rs. 2000 have come in the last five months.Â
As per Akhilesh Singh, regional manager of Region-1 of Baroda UP Bank, the account holders who are taking big payments are also receiving notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 only, due to the notes of Rs. 2000 not being available.
Santhosh Kumar Yadav, AGM of Punjab National Bank has said that the crisis of two thousand notes is present everywhere. Additionally, the two thousand rupees notes that are being deposited in the branches are not filled in the ATM.
