A travel agency in Mumbai has announced a new, and rather interesting, “coronavirus vaccine tourism package.”

This is available only for high net worth individuals (HNI) clients.

Mumbai Based Tourism Company Announces Coronavirus Vaccine Tourism Package

A tourism company, Gem Tours & Travel, based out of Mumbai, has announced a never heard before traveling package for high net worth individuals (HNI) clients who wanted to travel to the United States for the shot. 

In the package details shared by the travel operator, it is stated, “Be among the first to get Corona Vaccine: As soon as Pfizer Vaccine is officially published to sell America (tentative date 11 December), v r ready to get it done for select few VVIP clients…”

The package has been priced at Rs. 1,74,999, which is quite similar to the airfare of Mumbai-New-York-Mumbai. It will include three night/four days stay along with a shot of the vaccine. 

This package has been introduced with the support of pharma major Pfizer Inc and German partner BioNTech SE’s coronavirus vaccine, which has shown about 95% efficiency to prevent the COVID-19 and with no major safety concerns as well.

Packages To Be Given On First Come First Serve Basis

As per reports, the packages are being allotted on a first come first serve basis. No advance or deposits will be taken by the tourism company. The company only asks for interested travelers  to register themselves with them by sharing their name, e-mail, cell, age, any one of physical complications from above, and a passport copy.

The firm has said that they are not holding or procuring any vaccine and everything will be carried out with the official permissions of the US health department. 

As per the firm, “Everything we will arrange will be within laws of United States of America. We will only process your requirements. Right now, no time frame can be committed. We are keeping the list ready so as and when America allows foreigners to come and take vaccine, we should not waste time because every life matters to their family members.”

Pfizer has applied to the US health regulators for emergency use authorization of its COVID-19 vaccine.
