Salary Hike From Early-2021!

This development comes as the demand and growth are returning to the IT industry post-COVID-19 resultant lockdowns. 

Tech Mahindra will introduce salary hikes in early 2021 but hasn’t decided the portion of hikes, said Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani.

The salary hike will be rolled out in a phased manner. The junior-most employees will receive first, while seniors will receive it later.

For the quarter that ended on September 30, Tech Mahindra recorded sound results with margins at a 6-quarter high.

“The power of alliances, power of customers, power of 5G and power of digital offerings is working in our favor,” Gurnani told ET NOW in an interview. 

Currently, 20% of Tech Mahindra’s employees working from the office, as opposed to 1-2% at other software companies.

According to data revealed by the management for Q2 for FY 2020-2021, around 98% of all employees at India’s top IT companies such as TCS, Infosys and Wipro continue to work from home.

Gurnani said, “There is thorough testing done. 20% of people have come back to work instead of 5% before. They are looking to step out because they miss the innovation drivers on whiteboards and water cooler talks. We ensure they are taking precautions.”
