Starting mid-2021, the company is planning on introducing 5 new SUVs till 2023- in other words, a new SUV every 6 months!

Maruti Suzuki to Expand Its Nexa Portfolio!
Maruti Suzuki already has multiple top-selling vehicles in its hatchback segment and now the Indo-Japanese car manufacturer is planning to take on the SUV segment.
The company will be expanding its Nexa portfolio with new SUVs launches at varied price points especially in the price bracket above Rs. 10 lakh.
“They will have one model at a price gap of Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000, like they have in the hatchback segment,” said a person familiar with the development.
This development can be cited to the dynamic buyer preference, said another person.
“We do not give any guidance on future models or technologies,” said a company spokesperson.
Currently, Maruti Suzuki in its UV range has the S-Presso, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, and S-Cross.

The first model from the new range of SUVs will be a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in partnership with Toyota, Suzuki’s alliance partner. However, the MPV will have both Maruti-Suzuki and Toyota badge.
In the first half of 2022, the company will launch the new Vitara Brezza.
This will be followed by a mid-sized SUV in the second half of 2022. This SUV will be competition to Hyundai Creta, Kia Sonet, and will be based on Toyota Raize’s architecture.
At the same time, a crossover to rival Tata Nexon will also be launched. As per Gaadiwaadi, the price range of this vehicle is expected to be Rs. 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
The first of 2023 will see a Made In India fiver-door Jimny from the country’s largest carmaker. It will compete with the recently launched Mahindra Thar and the upcoming Force Gurkha.
