The Mi Band 5 starts at Rs 2,499, while the Mi Watch Revolve at Rs 9,999.

Mi Band 5: Full Specs, Price In India

Starting with the very popular Mi Band series, the all-new Mi Band 5 comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch colour display with improved features, sensors and a similar design. The new band uses Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and works with both iOS and Android devices. Mi Band 5 can run up to 14 days on a single charge, surprisingly lower than the predecessor, Mi Band 4.

The Band 5 comes with a new magnetic charging mechanism, thankfully the company has finally ditched the weird charger.

The Mi Smart Band 5 offers up to 50M water resistance, and can also be used as a remote shutter for taking photos. It packs in 11 new activity-tracking modes including indoor cycling, rowing, yoga, elliptical, and jump rope exercises. The Mi fitness band also comes with a new mode to track women’s health and menstrual cycle. 

Mi Band 5 price in India is set at Rs 2,499. It will be available via Amazon India, Mi Online store, and Mi Home store.

Should you buy Mi Band 5?

The new Mi Smart Band 5 comes with a few upgrades, but not something massive. In case you already use a Mi Band 4, upgrading to the latest won’t make much sense, also the battery life has degraded. But if you are currently using one of the older generation Mi Bands, the new Mi Band 5 will make up for it with much improved features.

Let’s talk about Xiaomi’s first-ever smartwatch in India, the Mi Watch Revolve. The Mi Watch Revolve comes with a circular display with a lot of features you expect from a full-fledged smartwatch. The Mi Watch Revolve with a circular dial sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen. The display is quite vibrant and offers a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels.

The Mi watch comes with a stainless steel frame, offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and has 5ATM water resistance rating.

The all-new Mi Watch Revolve features a heart-rate monitor, sleep tracker, and houses a 420mAh battery with up to 14 days on one charge. The Mi Watch runs on a custom OS from Xiaomi. 

It connects with the new Xiaomi Wear app for Android and iOS (Xiaomi Wear Lite for iOS).

The sensors on Mi Watch Revolve include PPG heart rate sensor, three-axis acceleration sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, baraceptor, ambient light sensor and an always on display.

The Mi Watch Revolve uses Firstbeat Motion Algorithm to provide physiological data for sports and wellness. Xiaomi has claimed it will help to provide “rich, user-friendly and actionable feedback”. The watch also comes with stress management, heart rate variability monitoring, HR monitoring, VO2 Max, and body energy monitoring.

It has 10 sports modes including running, cycling, trekking, treadmill, working out and more. There are more than 110 watch faces and a variety of strap options. Mi Watch Revolve price in India is currently set at Rs 9,999 as a part of an introductory offer. Mi Watch Revolve will be available in India from October 6 via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi retail stores and Mi Home.

Should you buy Mi Watch Revolve?

The new Mi Watch Revolve can’t exactly be called a smartwatch, but it’s quite close. The Mi Watch Revolve will be a suitable option in case you are looking for a high-end fitness device with more features. Compared to Mi Watch, the Revolve variant has almost 80 percent of the core functions. From notifications to fitness tracking to music control to checking important updates, the Mi Watch Revolve will satisfy most of your needs.

Mi Smart Speaker: Full Specs, Price In India

Up next we have the Mi Smart Speaker. The all-new Amazon Alexa and Google Nest rival comes with a 12W front-firing speaker and is powered by Google Assistant. As any other smart speaker, the Mi Smart Speaker will answer all your queries and do what you ask to.

With Google powering the cloud, the speaker has in-built far-away microphones.

The Mi speaker is tuned with DTS Sound and uses a Hi-Fi audio chipset by Texas Instrument. It comes with a built-in Chromecast, two far-field microphones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a touch panel with controls and a glowing ring at the top as the Alexa speakers. You can pair two smart speakers for stereo sound or a multi-room setup.  

Mi Smart Speaker price in India is set at Rs 3,999, but it will be available at a discounted price of Rs 3,499 during the first sale on October 1st. It will be available via Flipkart, Mi Home, and Mi online stores.

Should you buy Mi Smart Speaker?

The biggest question here is about preference. Google or Alexa, what are you comfortable with. If it’s Google, now you got to choose between either Google Nest Mini or Mi Smart Speaker. Given the latest features as 12W speaker with DTS sound, built-in Chromecast, far-field microphones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and touch controls, the Mi Smart Speaker does make up for a better option.
