How Is The Data Getting Leaked?
The Chinese authorities have a strategic plan in place that operates on exhibiting the value proposition to businesses.
These data servers likely offer free trial periods for a time period to the businesses in a bid to trap them in, top intelligence sources told News 18.
During the limited free trial period, the servers send all forms of data to the remote servers located in China.
According to the intelligence officials, Alibaba’s cloud data servers offer services at a significantly cheaper rate than European servers which indicates their popularity in the Indian market.

The Government is looking into launching a ‘massive probe’ to investigate the Chinese spying activity, said the intelligence officials.
Indian Express report dated September 15 suggested China’s cyber tactics as a part of its hybrid warfare against India.
Recently, India was engaged in banning over 200 apps with links to China. It will be interesting to see how India tightens its data privacy laws to reduce the threat imposed by China in the country.
