Tata Sky Launches 300Mbps Plan With 500 GB Data; BSNL Gives Free 5 GB Data!

Tata Sky Broadband has launched a new 300 Mbps plan with a 500 GB data limit per month. 

On the other hand, the state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that it will give 5 GB free data at no additional costs to its users who will use its multiple recharge facility.

Tata Sky Fixed GB Plan At Lower Rates?

The subsidiary of Tata Sky Limited with its presence in 18 cities across the country had introduced the 300 Mbps unlimited plan in late May. This plan is priced at Rs 1900 per month.

The new 300 Mbps “Fixed GB” plan is priced lower than the unlimited plan and is available for subscription in select cities across India, said the operator.

Features of the ‘New’ 300 Mbps Plan With a 500 GB Data Limit

• 300 Mbps speed till 500 GB data limit after which the speed is capped at 3 Mbps.
• The subscription packs are designed on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly basis. 
• Provision of a data rollover option for all users subscribed to Fixed GB plans along with a free router. Users subscribed to quarterly, semi-annual and yearly packs will also be provided free installation.
• Currently, available for subscription in Bengaluru, Chennai, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, and Thane.

Features of the Unlimited 300 Mbps Plan

• Speed will reduce to 3 Mbps upon reaching 3300 GB data limit.
• The subscription packs are designed on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly basis. 
• Currently, available for subscription in Bengaluru, Chennai, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, Thane and also Ghaziabad, Mira-Bhayandar, Navi Mumbai and Noida.

Tata Sky Broadband provides 4 unlimited plans with a speed of 25 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 300 Mbps with a price range of Rs 950 to Rs 1900.

The operator offers 5 fixed GB plans in the price range of Rs 790 to Rs 1470.

BSNL Offering Free Data Under Multiple Recharge Facility!

On Friday, the BSNL Chennai circle shared a circular announcing that prepaid users in the Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles are currently being provided with the complimentary 5 GB data.

BSNL’s multiple recharge facility allows its prepaid users to redeem their existing active plan vouchers (PV) and special tariff vouchers (STV) in advance, without waiting for the expiry.

BSNL is planning on launching the free data offering plan on a promotional basis for a period of 90 days. The bonus data is reportedly to be valid for 22 days.

What is the Eligibility?

• STVs priced at Rs 98, Rs 99, Rs 118, Rs 187, and Rs 319.
• PVs of Rs 186, Rs 429, Rs 485, Rs 666, and Rs 1999.
• Prepaid users who activate second or third recharge prior to the expiry of their previous recharge.

Furthermore, BSNL also announced that every Sunday it will offer full talk time with Rs 100 top-up in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles. This talk time promotional offer is said to be available from August 22 until November 18, 2020.
