Leaked by Slashleaks, the live images show us a punch-hole display upfront. Tipster Ishan Agarwal previously estimated OnePlus Z to start at Rs 37,500 (converted), expected to come at under Rs 30,000 in India.
OnePlus Z India Launch: OnePlus Z Launch First In India?
OnePlus will soon be bringing its affordable smartphone in a few weeks. The company CEO has confirmed without giving out the name in an interview. OnePlus Z or OnePlus 8 Lite, the affordable OnePlus smartphone is in works, hinted by OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau.

Though, the naming is yet to be confirmed. Most leaks suggest it to be OnePlus Z aka OnePlus 8 Lite, but it’s yet to be officially confirmed. The affordable OnePlus phone will probably make its debut in India and maybe in some weeks from now.
As far as the claims go, the company may get into the mid-range category with OnePlus Z. The company has slowly entered the premium flagship space year by year ditching the flagship killer status. The affordable OnePlus device will help it get back to where it started and have more hold in the entry premium segment.
OnePlus Z Specs, Features: OnePlus 8 Lite Specs?
OnePlus Z is going to be the affordable variant of the current OnePlus 8. The company’s first ‘Lite’ model will primarily focus in the mid-range segment. The company did experiment with such one model in early years, remember OnePlus X?
The rumours hint at being the successor, so the upcoming OnePlus device could be called OnePlus Z. Some also tip it to be OnePlus 8 Lite, but the company itself hasn’t eyr dropped in any light to it.
As far as the leaks go, OnePlus Z will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display offering a 90Hz refresh rate with a punch-hole on top middle.
OnePlus Z will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000L SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage. Some leaks suggested Snapdragon 765G also. OnePlus Z may either come with Snapdragon 765G or Dimensity 1000L SoC.
The device will run on Android 10 out of the box with OxygenOS. OnePlus Z will come with a triple camera setup at the back.
OnePlus Z will feature a 48-megapixel main lens, a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Upfront, the OnePlus Z will have a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor, the whole system backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
OnePlus Z Price, OnePlus Z Launch: Under Rs 30,000?
OnePlus Z launch is said to be happening in July, so it’s just a few weeks away. Again, it’s a tip, so do take it with a pinch of salt. The live images were recently leaked as well, so thus it hints at an imminent launch though. Now with Lau hinting at the device being in works, it could be coming in a few weeks from now.
It’s for the very first time that OnePlus will launch a different model of its series, and for now, we can expect the OnePlus Z launch in July, or sometime in the same period, preferably mid of 2020.

The leaked OnePlus Z price places it somewhere in and around 30,000 category for India. OnePlus Z (OnePlus 8 Lite) price leaked by tipster Ishan Agarwal previously gave us a western price of GBP 400 (around Rs 37,500), which means it will be considerably lower in India.
