Realme Narzo: Realme’s Answer To Xiaomi’s Poco?
Realme has steadily climbed up the ladder to be the biggest competitor to the current leader in the Indian smartphone industry, Xiaomi. Both Realme and Xiaomi have been competing against each other with top-end devices in similar pricing points.
While Xiaomi continues to lead the table, Realme continues to scale up sales set to be the number two.
With Xiaomi diversifying the product line-up with different sub-brands and independent brands, it’s now Realme following the same strategy.
Realme started out as a sub-brand under Oppo, and even kept on using the same ColorOS by Oppo as its UI for long until RealmeUI. The brand has grown exponentially, and now operates separately as a sister brand alongside Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus under BBK Electronics.
Now as Realme has a wide market and segments to explore, a new sub-brand could be a great option to diversify the product line-up.
Xiaomi does it well with Redmi and recently revived Poco. It also has Mi which has devices from the main brand, while Redmi and Poco operate independently. Particularly Redmi has done immensely well since it came to India back in 2014.
Realme Narzo Smartphones: What To Expect?
Realme calls the upcoming series “Unique. Extraordinary. Bold” in its latest teaser. Going by how the company is marketing the latest Realme series, the Realme Narzo smartphones will probably be focusing on max performance in the mid-range segment.
With the funky colours and theme, the Nazro is expected to be specifically customised for young people, Gen Z users.
Some reports say that the Realme Narzo series will have two models at launch, though the company is yet to officially confirm.
The Realme Narzo series is expected to come with a new look, better design, big batteries, top-end processors, high-end cameras and more. Realme Narzo is expected to be available only in the mid-range category, probably around the current X-series.
Realme Narzo launch in India is expected in a few weeks, while the pricing may start at around Rs 15,000.
