Yusaku Maezawa, who is a Japanese billionaire, and founder of Japan’s second biggest ecommerce portal: ZoZo Inc. has announced on Twitter that he will give away 100 million yen, which is around $9 million or Rs 65 crore, to 100 lucky Twitter followers.
All they need to do is follow him, retweet his tweet.
This tweet featured a man in a rocket, silhouetted against full moon, which is something similar to the iconic ET movie poster.

As per some reports, this offer of donating money to Twitter followers was done to understand what makes a human being happy, and Yusaka wanted to know giving money can bring in happiness. In a Youtube interview, he claimed that this is a social experiment to find out the secret of happiness.
Besides, it seems that he wanted to create the world’s most retweeted tweet.
And he attained success.
Another report states that this tweet stunt was made to celebrate Zozo’s 10 bn yen sales during Christmas and New year.
This Tweet Has Become World’s Most Retweeted Tweet
Posted on January 5th, this tweet from the Japanese billionaire has become world’s most retweeted tweet ever.
At the time of writing, this tweet has received a record 4.3 million retweets, and 1.3 million likes. No other tweet has received this much engagement ever.
He has 6.8 million followers as of now.
Previous to this stunt, the most retweeted tweet ever was in 2017, when a US teenager asked for free nuggets via retweets, and he received some 3.5 million retweets for this stunt.
None the less, now Yusaku Maezawa will have to shell out Rs 65 crore, and select 100 lucky Twitter followers for the same.
