Samsung’s 1st Snapdragon 855 Smartphone: Galaxy S10 Lite Launched With 48MP Camera; Expected Price Rs 30,000?
Samsung is one of the oldest smartphone brands to have serving in the Indian markets. Since past some years however, the Taiwanese smartphone giant Xiaomi has taken over the hearts and pockets of the Indian customers, complying majorly to its technical qualities and a very light budget.
We informed you almost recently that the tech giant has been working on a Lite version of the Galaxy Note 10 smartphone that it released earlier this year, since some time now.
Not just this, this year has begun with a good blast for people looking at buying the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series at an affordable price, as the company has finally announced two Lite versions of the 2019 Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series.
Lite Versions
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is official. Just a few days before CES 2020 kicks off, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S10 Lite, a slightly diluted version of the standard Galaxy S10 that will fit in a lower price bracket.
Samsung hasn’t revealed the prices yet but both these phones are coming to India indeed and could end up sitting along with the Galaxy S10 models. Both the new Lite models differ from each other in terms of cameras and chipset.
The Galaxy Note 10 Lite uses the older Exynos 8895 chip from the 2018 Galaxy Note 9, however the S10 Lite consists the 2019 specifications.
In fact, the Galaxy S10 Lite happens to be the first Samsung phone using the Snapdragon 855 chip in India. It even seems to have mightier cameras and bigger batteries than the regular Galaxy S10 variants.
Galaxy S10 Lite Specs
The Galaxy S10 Lite features a triple rear camera setup with a main 48-megapixel sensor. The primary camera is supported by Samsung’s in-house Super Steady OIS stabilization technology.
It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 394ppi. Samsung is using a Snapdragon 855 chipset in this Lite model. It will come in two configurations – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
The S10 Lite will come with Android 10 along with OneUI 2.0. It will thrive on a 4500 mAh battery along with support for fast charging. Over at the back, the Galaxy S10 Lite packs a slightly larger camera module compared to the Galaxy Note 10 Lite.
Galaxy S10 Lite Features
Even though it is a Lite version, the Galaxy S10 Lite is the first phone in India from Samsung to use the more powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset. As per the leaks, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC will tick at the heart of the Galaxy S10 Lite.
Samsung will sell the Galaxy S10 Lite in three colour variants. You will get Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Blue colours with the S10 Lite.
Currently, Samsung hasn’t revealed the launch date of the S10 Lite but it seems that it will be launched after Samsung unveils the S11 series phones in February.
The S10 Lite and the Note 10 Lite could directly compete with the OnePlus 7T series phones in India and hence, you can expect a starting price of around Rs 30,000.
