IITs Receive 4000 Job Offers In 48 Hours; IIT Kharagpur #1 In Placements, 57 Students Grab Rs 30 Lakh CTC!

The leading engineering institutions of India, IITs have offered students about 4000 job offers in the last two days only. Top companies from all over the world have prefered a large number of students from core engineering profiles. 

Most of the IITs from the older league have been offered jobs between 300 – 350 jobs in the first two days of the placement drives at the institutes and their campuses.

Hike In Job Offers At IIT Kharagpur and IIT Delhi During Placement Drives

Students at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) have about 4000 job offers in the last two days. As per reports, the companies who have offered jobs are going mostly for students from core engineering streams. 

As per IIT Delhi’s reports, the placement season has been boosted considerably in core sector, information technology and finance as well. 

IIT Delhi Director V. Ramgopal Rao said, “We are happy to see a large number of IIT Delhi students preferring domestic careers over international placements. Another interesting aspect is students choosing careers in core sectors…it augurs well for the country.”

In IIT Kharagpur, about 500 offers have been made, and the pre-placement number is 715. In IIT Kharagpur, about half a dozen students have been offered jobs with a package of Rs. 1 crore plus the annual salary. Also, 57 students have been offered jobs with annual salary of more than Rs. 30 lakh. 

Top Companies Offering Jobs At IIT Kharagpur, Delhi, And Mumbai

Microsoft, Sony Japan, Netherland based financial firm Optiver, taxi aggregator Uber, Accenture Japan, Google, Qualcomm, Intel, and Samsung R&D are some of the companies that offered students from IITs some attractive job offers and packages. 

Microsoft has offered 30 jobs at IIT Delhi and Intel has offered about 27 job placements at the same institute. There also has been a hike in the job offers by 25% in the Information Technology stream especially. 

Whereas, in the Kharagpur counterpart, there have been 25 offers made by EXL, 20 offers from Barclays, and 19 offers from Samsung Research. 

In IIT Bombay too, some top companies, such as Microsoft, Optiver, Honda R&D and Sony Japan have made their offers to the students.
