Call of Duty: Mobile Is A Big Hit: 20 Million Downloads In 24 Hours With $2 Million Revenues
Call Of Duty: Mobile, the latest version of the iconic World War 2 based first-person shooter game Call of Duty was launched on October 1st.
Now, fresh numbers have come in, which reveals that the game is a smash hit.
Within 24 hours, the game was downloaded record 20 million times, generating revenues of more than $2 million.
The game has been developed by Tencent Games, and published by gaming behemoth Activision.
Call Of Duty: Mobile Is A Smash Hit
With 2 crore downloads all across the world, Call Of Duty: Mobile has already been declared as a smart hit.
Across 33 countries, the game topped the charts on Google Play Store app, there by triggering massive downloads and online chatter.
This is a big relief for Activision Blizzard, the parent company of Activision which has published the game, since they were reeling under huge losses, and had announced some major price cuts.

This time, the developers of Call of Duty sticked with the old school gaming principles, and includes some of their signature gaming mode such as Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy, Domination, Frontline into it.

Activision Blizzard Back In Action
Activision Blizzard, which is America’s largest and World’s third largest gaming company, has been facing a dip in revenues since couple of years.
Last year, they declared that their much-anticipated games: Overwatch and Hearthstone failed to trigger sales, and they admitted massive losses.
In February, they announced a layoff of 800+ employees, as entire teams were asked to resign from their offices in America and Europe.
Last year, they generated $7.5 billion in sales and $1.8 billion in profit.
Now, with the massive success of Call Of Duty: Mobile, Activision can hope to fend off competition from current popular games such as PUBG, Fortnite and Apex Legends.
