Just yesterday, Xiaomi had a launch event in China, where it launched several products. Among its several launches, Xiaomi also launched the Mi MIX Alpha, which is a successor of the Mi MIX 3 that was launched last year.
Mi MIX Alpha
This is a 5G concept smartphone from Xiaomi, which highlights a range of key features, including Surround Display and 108MP camera sensor. For starter, the MI MIX Alpha is an all glass phone.
It comes with Surround Display that offers an immersive experience to the users. Its screen wraps around the phone, as the name suggests. The top and bottom edges of the Mi MIX Alpha are made with a combination of titanium alloy, ceramics, and sapphire.

Due to Surround Display, the phone doesn’t include bezels on the sides. In fact, it consists of a black strip on the back panel, which constitutes the cameras and sensors. It includes a 108MP Samsung camera sensor, also the sides of the phone are pressure sensitive.
Specs
As far as the specs are concerned, the Mi MIX Alpha comes with a massive 7.92-inch flexible OLED screen that offers a screen resolution of 2088×2250 pixels.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus paired with 12GB of RAM and has a battery life of 4,050mAh, with 40W fast charging support. On the software front, the Mi MIX Alpha runs MIUI Alpha operating system.
As far as camera features are concerned, the Mi Mix Alpha comes with triple camera setup on the back panel and single sensor on the front. On the rear side, the Mi MIX Alpha comes with a primary 108MP Samsung HMX sensor, a 20-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 12-megapixel camera for clicking portrait shots.
However, there is no selfie camera on the Mi MIX Alpha.
Prices and Launch
The most essential part though is the lunching and when it will air in India. As for the pricing the Mi Mix Alpha concept device is priced at CNY 19,999 (roughly around Rs 2 lakh).
As of now, there are no words whether the Mi MIX Alpha will be in mass production anytime soon or not. Xiaomi, however, has confirmed that it will produce a limited batch of Mi MIX Alpha at the end of December this year. No words on India availability of the Mi MIX Alpha.
