Huawei Mate 30 Pro Specs & Pricing Leaked: Here’s What You Need To Know
With Huawei taking a leap over the ban controversy, the company is planning to come back strong to take its spot back in the smartphone industry. For the last few years the Huawei flagships have done reasonably well in multiple foreign markets, and it plans to continue to do so with the next Mate flagships, the third generation Mate 30 smartphones.
A new leak is out showing a four camera setup at the back along with a short-wide notch on top.
Interestingly the company hasn’t dropped the notch for a pop-up sensor or a hole in the display as its counterparts, but it will continue with a more enhanced and slimmer notch with Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro.
The most noticed feature of the leaked image was the four camera system on 30 Pro. Both will include the next generation HiSilicon SoC flagship chip, the Kirin 990. It will be in line with the current Snapdragon 855 Plus and upcoming Snapdragon 865. Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are expected to launch on September 19 globally.
Huawei Mate 30 Series Specs: What’s In There For Mate 30 Pro?
The upcoming Huawei flagship will come with the next-gen 7nm Kirin 990, to be unveiled at the IFA Berlin on September 6. Mate 30 Pro is rumoured to come with a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a short and wide display notch. It will house in the advanced 3D facial recognition technology.
The regular model and the Pro model will sport different camera sensors. Mate 30 Pro will pack in two 40MP sensors on the back housed in a circular shaped camera module, while the regular model may sport only one.
The leaks hint to a 1/1.55″ lens for the main camera and a 1/1.7″ lens for the ultra-wide-angle camera. The other two sensors will include a 5x periscope-styled sensor and finally a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor. Mate 30 probably will come with a rear three camera system unlike the quad camera setup on Mate 30 Pro.
The next generation Kirin 990 will power the future Huawei and Honor flagships, starting with the new Mate 30 series. They will run on Android 9 Pie powered EMUI software systems.
The company has already revealed some key details regarding the chip via a promo video. Kirin 990 kay support 5G. It’s been produced on a 7nm EUV process for better power efficiency. The previous generation Kirin 980 SoC was world’s first 7nm mobile chipset at IFA 2018.
The new Kirin 990 will provide 20 per cent higher transistor density and better power efficiency. It supports 4K video recording at 60fps with a dedicated dual NPU for advanced AI capabilities.
Mate 30 series will include two devices, a regular Mate 30 and the top-end Mate 30 Pro. Both the Mate 30 smartphones will be powered by Kirin 990, and are rumoured to be running on 4,200mAh and 4,500mAh battery units respectively supporting 25W fast wireless charging in addition to 55W wired charging out of the box.
Mate 30 Series India Launch & Pricing: Mate 30 Pro India Price
The new Huawei flagships will be first unveiled at the IFA Berlin on September 6, and then launched later globally. Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are expected to be commercially launched on September 19 internationally. The Mate 30 series India launch may happen sometime later, probably by the end of October.
The company has generally launched all its flagship smartphones in India within a month of global launch, and the same is expected in the case of Mate 30 series.

The regular Huawei Mate 30 India price may be fixed at around Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 to take on the regular Galaxy S10 and OnePlus 7 Pro. While the top-end Huawei Mate 30 Pro India price will touch Rs 70,000-mark to challenge iPhone XS models and the new Galaxy Note 10+.
