Nubia Confirms The Launch Of 5G Powered Red Magic Gaming Smartphone In India Next Year!
The fifth generation of cellular network technology or 5G for short is the one creating all the hype now! India is yet to see 5G and yet, there are 5G ready phones that are being launched in the market.
The trials for the 5G spectrum will be conducted by TRAI in India, as declared by Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Now that it is out in the open that 5G is in the country’s near future, smartphone companies have started disclosing their plans to launch 5G phones in India. Nubia is all set to launch its Red Magic gaming smartphone, 5G enabled, in India too.

India’s 5G Trials; Redmi and Realme’s 5G Smartphones
On June 4, the Telecom Minister under the newly elected PM Modi’s cabinet promised that 5G trials will be starting in India in the next 100 days. The 5G auction will be happening soon, too, for about 8,644 MHz of telecom frequencies.
Redmi has already declared that their first 5G phone will be launched in India. Xiaomi’s 1st 5G phone, Mi MIX 3 5G is already available in Switzerland and the brand has promised an India launch soon.
Following in its footsteps is Realme. The CEO of Realme, Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the Realme will be launching its first 5G smartphone this year, globally, and in India as well. However, any details about the 5G phone weren’t mentioned in his tweet.
Nubia Red Magic Smartphone to be Launched in India
Nubia is next in line, and has declared that the company will launch a 5G enabled gaming smartphone. Nubia’s officials have stated that 5G compatible smartphones are ready with the company and will be launched in any market that supports 5G.
During the event of the launch of Red Magic 3, the company announced that a 5G enabled smartphone will be launched in India next year. Nubia’s vice-president of e-commerce, Pan Forrest, said that the Red Magic 3 will be Nubia’s first 5G phone . This phone will be launched in China in 2020, and in India at around the same time too.
Dheeraj Kukreja, marketing director of Nubia India, said, “In China, we are the first one when it comes to mobile hardware to enter the 5G era. It is the first 5G phone in China, and we are supporting three operators in the country. Now, (for India) it will depend on the Indian service providers and how soon can they launch it.”
