Airtel’s New Disruption: Rs 4 Lakh Insurance On Rs 249 Plan

In a new and calculated move, India’s 2nd largest telecom operator has launched a new prepaid plan, which offers insurance worth Rs 4 lakh.

This new prepaid plan costs Rs 249 per month.

Besides insurance of Rs 4 lakh, the pre-paid users of this plan can also get 2 GB of 4G data per day, for 28 days.

Besides, users can get:

• Airtel TV Premium subscription
• Rs 2,000 cashback for purchasing any new 4G phone
• Norton Mobile Security for one year
• Wynk Music subscription
• 100 SMS per 28 days

Rs 4 lakh Insurance On Rs 249 Airtel Plan: How To Avail It?

This unique insurance plan has been offered by Airtel in association with HDFC Life insurance and from Bharti AXA Insurance. The user will have an option to select anyone of these insurance providers for activating the plan.

Age factor is an important consideration here, in order to activate the insurance plan: The Airtel user must be between 18 and 54 years of age, and in good health.

Once this prepaid plan has been activated, the user will receive activation request via SMS. Besides, the formalities can be also completed from My Airtel app.

As per some reports, the insurance would be only active after the user fills in details such as nominee, insurance period, tax details and more. An agent will be assigned to the user who opts for this insurance, and the steps would be taken care of by the agent themselves.

Users can also recharge their plan via offline mode, through these agents.

Earlier, a similar insurance plan was rolled out for postpaid users of Airtel.

Rs 129 PrePaid Plan

Besides the Rs 249 prepaid plan with 2 GB per day 4G data, and Rs 4 lakh insurance plan, Airtel has also rolled out a new Rs 129 prepaid plan.

Under this new plan, users can get 2GB of 4G data per day, along with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day.
