TCS Employees Wished Home, Car As Golden Jubilee Gift; What They Actually Received Is Shocking!
$100 billion worth TCS, which is hailed as the world’s most powerful IT services brand, recently completed glorious 50 years of existence. Employees were waiting for last 12 months to get a sizzling, dashing gift to mark the occasion.
Infact, some employees were speculating, as to what they can get from the business conglomerate.
Expensive gifts such as home, cars and jewelry or a big cash bonus were being expected.
But what they actually received was shocking.
A Golden Jubilee Gift For TCS Employees: Wrist Watch
Instead of cars, homes, and jewelry, TCS employees received wristwatch as their Golden Jubilee gift. And this has disappointed the employees if we believe the reports.
A top executive said, “There is total disappointment all across. Many of us were guessing what the gift could be, for over a year. Some thought it would be cars from Tata Motors, homes, jewelry or anything like that from the Tata Group. Others guessed it would a big cash bonus. People have been waiting for a year until April 12, the day of the Q4 announcement,”
TCS is part of the Tata Group and has operations across 46 countries, which makes them the biggest private employer in India.
TCS was founded in 1968, and this year, they completed 50 years of their existence this year.
TCS Justifies Wrist Watches As Golden Jubilee Gift
It seems that TCS was not aware of their employees getting disappointed over the gift. While announcing the Golden Jubilee occasion, TCS CEO described the gift as “boundless energy that makes TCS tick round the clock.”
No wonder TCS employees were not amused at all.
TCS CEO & MD Rajesh Gopinathan, in a statement said, “As we close the end of our fiftieth year, it is a good moment to reflect on the year gone by, and years ahead, to celebrate our diversity, and the agility of our global workforce, to rejoice at our success in being the partner of choice for our customers in this shared journey of growth and transformation.”
He signed off on the note saying, “Keep ticking”.
With a large number of employee sector, the Tata Group, to some extent, failed to deliver their love into the hearts of employees. Known for its rich company ethics this sure wasn’t a good one.
Employees who were waiting for this day with a lot of enthusiasm were disheartened on the selection of the gift.
