Jio Gigafiber May Launch In March, 2019; 65 Lakh Users Ditch Vodafone-Idea In November
Jiogiga Fiber has the power to revolutionize broadband Internet in India.
As per fresh ‘leaks’ coming in from trusted sources, it has been revealed that Reliance’ much-awaited broadband service: Jio Gigafiber will finally launch in the month of March, 2019.
This information has been derived after sources informed India Today that Reliance will kickstart a massive advertisement program in the month of March to create buzz about their new broadband service.
Once mainstream advertisement kicks in, it will be a matter of days before full-fledged service is rolled out, pan-India.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries has already informed that the official roll-out of Jio Gigafiber will be largest in the world, in terms of scale, covering 1100 cities.
During their AGM, Mukesh Ambani had said, “Jio GigaFiber will be the largest greenfield fixed-line broadband rollout anywhere in the world, with rollout happening in 1,100 cities of India simultaneously,”
Jio Gigafiber Rollout Confirmed?
Sources close to India Today are using Jio Gigafiber’s preview offer in Ghaziabad, and experiencing 100 Mbps speed on an average.
Such preview offers have already started in Noida, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and some parts of Bengaluru/Chennai as well.
The information that Jio Gigafiber’s rollout is happening in the month of March comes from these sources, who are already using the preview offer.
Initially, Reliance is targeting high-rise apartments where their Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband service can easily installed. The lucky users who are using Gigafiber have these installed in their homes: Jio GigaFiber router and a Jio GigaTV Set-top box.
The special thing about Jio Gigafiber is their wall-to-wall FTTH service, which means that phones, televisions, computers and other gadgets can seamlessly access 100 Mbps speed, even with walls in between them.
Jio Gigafiber: Last Mile Connectivity Issue Solved
The biggest obstacle which Jio Gigafiber was experiencing while rolling out services was last mile connectivity. With their acquisition of India’s largest cable TV network: Hathaway, this issue has been resolved.
Now, Jio has direct access to 27,000+ LCOs or Local Cable Operators under Hathway and Den, thereby expanding their Jio Gigafiber network seamlessly, and without any hiccups.
