Jio Effect – BSNL To Offer 360GB Data At Rs 444, Updates FTTH Plans With 50GB Extra Data
BSNL wants to retain their FTTH marketshare, and we can expect more discounts in this segment.
Since Reliance Jio launched its much-awaited FTTH Jio GigaFiber service last week, the other broadband companies have started to shuffle up their plans to offer more data. After Airtel removed FUP from its broadband plans, its now state-run BSNL to upgrade their FTTH broadband plans to offer extra data.
Also, the public telecom company has now an updated Rs 444 prepaid plan which offer 6GB data per day for a validity period of 60 days. Earlier, the same Rs 444 BSNL plan offered 4GB data daily for the same validity period.

Rs 444 BSNL Plan – 360GB Data For 60 Days
BSNL has revamped its existing Rs 444 prepaid plan to offer 6GB data daily. The same plan earlier used to offer 4GB data daily. The updated Rs 444 BSNL plan will now offer a total of 360GB data for a validity period of 60 days. The 444 plan also offers unlimited on-net voice calls, but no off-net calling or SMS benefits.
Post completion of FUP, BSNL will offer an unlimited data usage at 60 Kbps with the 444 prepaid plan.

Extra 2GB Daily Data On All BSNL Prepaid Plans
The company is already offering additional 2GB data per day on multiple BSNL prepaid plans. Currently, the public telecom company is offering extra 2GB data per day on prepaid unlimited combo plans of Rs 999, Rs 666, Rs 485, Rs 429 and Rs 186.
All these plans offer additional 2GB data per day. The 3G Data STV BSNL plans of Rs 448, Rs 444, Rs 333, Rs 349 and Rs 187 similarly now come with 2GB additional data per day.
Extra Data With BSNL FTTH Plans
To take on Reliance Jio FTTH GigaFiber plans, the state-run BSNL has upgraded its FTTH plans to offer more data. Reliance Jio will launch Jio GigaFiber in over 1,100 cities across the country with its own Jio router and Jio GigaTV service.
The company has updated three of its FTTH plans – Rs 1,045 BSNL FTTH plan, Rs 1,395 BSNL FTTH plan and Rs 1,895 BSNL FTTH plan.
Updated Rs 1,045 BSNL FTTH Plan
The BSNL Fibro BBG ULD 1045 plan will now offer a total of 150GB data with download speeds up to 30Mbps. The plan costs Rs 1,045 per month, and earlier it offered 100GB of high-speed data. Now, the same 1,045 BSNL FTTH plan will offer 150GB high speed data.
After exhaustion of FUP limit, the 1045 BSNL plan will offer unlimited usage at a speed of 2Mbps.
