Amazon India has informed all their loyal fans and customers that their much awaited, and anticipated ‘Prime Day Sale’ would occur on July 16th this year.

In 2017, Amazon launched the Prime Day sale for the first time in India. This is a special sales day, targeted only for Prime users.
Overall, this is the 4th Prime Day sale globally.
Amazon fulfils two crucial business objectives with this Prime Day sales: Enchant and entice their existing paid subscribers with hottest deals, and attract new Prime users with exciting, irresistible deals.
This year, Amazon’s Prime Day sales would happen 17 countries on the same day, and excitement is clearly in the air about expected deals and offers.
As per Akshay Sahi, head of Amazon Prime in India, Prime memberships have increased to double this year in India.
There are right now 100 million Amazon Prime customers all over the world, and out of that, 10 million or 1 crore are in India.

What Should You Expect?
There would be several firsts in this year’s Amazon Prime Day sale festival in India.
Leveraging Prime Now
To start with, Amazon will attempt to leverage their newly renamed Prime Now app in 4 metropolitans: New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Amazon Now was renamed as Prime Now in May this year.
Prime Now offers two-hour delivery, only for Prime customers in these four metropolitan cities. Customers can order as late as 10PM, to get their products at midnight. It is expected that there shall be some exclusive offers in electronics segment.
The Scale Of Products
Then, the brands and products: This year, Amazon Prime users can browse through 40 million products.
New Launches
Amazon is expected to launch 200 new and exciting products during the Prime Day sale period. To aid these launches, Amazon has already forged special partnerships with brands like OnePlus, Nestlé NesPlus, Marks & Spencer, Bosch, HP, Acer, GAP, Asics  and more.
Virtual Reality
Besides, Amazon has arranged special Virtual Reality experience in malls across these cities: Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata.
The name of the malls and the exact product display via VR would be announced later, only to Prime members.
Cashbacks
Amazon India has also planned special discounts and cashbacks for Amazon Pay wallet users and HDFC Bank account users.
Entertainment
And lastly, it is not only shopping, but entertainment as well, which has been taken care of by Amazon for their Prime users: Starting July 10th Amazon Prime users can access 7 exclusive new titles which include: 102 Not Out, Dunkirk, Transformers: The Last Night, Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain, Telugu hit Officer, latest Prime Original show, Comicstaan.
