OnePlus 6 Launch Date & Price Leaked; Nubia Unveils A Gaming Phone!
OnePlus has already confirmed that their next flagship will come with an iPhone X-like notch on top of the display.
OnePlus 6 seems to be finally here, as the recent reports hint at a mid-May release. The new report reveals that the next OnePlus flagship will be launched in India on May 18. The pricing details were also revealed, and the upcoming OnePlus 6 may come at a starting price of Rs 39,999.
Recently the company teased a OnePlus 6 video ahead of its launch which confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6 will be water resistant. The smartphone will also be available in a special Avengers – Infinity War edition to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
OnePlus 6 – Things We Know Till Now
OnePlus has already confirmed that their next flagship will come with an iPhone X-like notch on top of the display. The smartphone will have minimal bezels and users can hide the notch through settings.
The OnePlus 6 will come with OnePlus’ latest Oxygen OS based on Android Oreo 8.1.
It will pack the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and will be available in two variants. The base model will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the higher variant will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
The recent teaser also revealed that the OnePlus 6 will feature two rear cameras. These will include a 16-megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 20-megapixel secondary sensor.
OnePlus 6 will be an Amazon exclusive in India, and will also be available via OnePlus offline stores and partner stores. The smartphone is expected to be priced around the Rs 40,000 range and the reports hint at a mid-May launch.
Nubia Red Magic Gaming Phone Launched
The ZTE sub-brand Nubia has launched a special gaming smartphone by the name of Red Magic. The gaming smartphone comes with an air-cooling technology which helps in faster thermal dissipation. The device comes with special gaming mode which optimises the gaming performance of Red Magic and disables all incoming notifications to prevent interruptions.
The smartphone features a 16.8 million colour RGB LED panel with aviation-grade aluminium alloy build. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The smartphone will compete with Xiaomi BlackShark which is also a gaming smartphone that was recently launched.
Nubia Red Magic – Features & Specifications
The device will come with a 6-inch full HD+ widescreen LTPS TFT display with an 85 percent screen-to-body ratio. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
The smartphone will come with a 24-megapixel rear shooter with an ISOCELL image sensor. The camera can take professional-looking shots with a f/1.7 aperture and a 6-element motor driven lens. Up front, it comes with an 8-megapixel BSI sensor with a f/2.0 aperture, 76-degree wide lens and a 3-element lens.
The device will come in two storage options of 64GB or 128GB, which is not expandable. The device will run Nubia’s own Magic OS which is based on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.
It is a dual-sim phone with 4G VoLTE connectivity support, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Ut has all the required sensors, and is powered by a 3,800mAh battery which supports NeoPower 3.0 Nubia fast charging.
The device will also have a TAS2555 amplifier to offer better audio performance with DTS Audio support.
The Nubia Red Magic will cost CNY 2,499 (around Rs 26,000) for the base variant while the higher variant will cost CNY 2,999 (around Rs 31,000). The pre-orders have already started, and smartphone will be available from April 25. There is no word yet on Indian availability.
