Qualcomm Snapdragon 845: Flagship Processor
The upcoming OnePlus 6 will be powered by the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 845. All the previous generation OnePlus smartphones featured the latest Qualcomm processors. OnePlus 6 will reportedly come with 6GB and 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage options.
Glass Body & Wireless Charging
Another leak suggested that the OnePlus 6 will come with a rear glass panel. With the glass finish, the OnePlus 6 will become the first OnePlus device to support wireless charging.
Best Smartphone Benchmarking Score Ever
OnePlus 6 was spotted on the benchmarking website AnTuTu with the best score ever scored by a smartphone. OnePlus 6 has recorded an average score of 276510 points which has bested the score of Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi MIX 2S, which is launching on March 27.
Vertically Placed Dual Cameras
As per a leak, the OnePlus 6 will come with a vertically arranged dual camera setup at the back. The OnePlus 6 rear camera setup looks just like the newly launched Redmi Note 5 Pro, though the placement is different. The camera specifications are yet unknown.
19:9 Display With A Notch
Another report suggests that the OnePlus 6 will sport a tall display with a 19:9 screen and a notch. The notch on the OnePlus will push the the app notifications to the left, while on the other side, it will feature the other icons like clock, network and battery.
Will Run Android P Out-of-the-Box
Google, today, released the developer version of Android P which confirms a support for tall displays with a notch. The OnePlus may run the latest Android P out of the box, which is line with support for the upcoming Android P on Oxygen OS.
But another rumour states that the OnePlus 6 will run Android 8.1 Oreo with the latest version of OxygenOS on top.
The OnePlus 6 Launch Date
Coming to the release date, OnePlus is known to follow its past trends. The Chinese company is known to release a new device in June every year, and five months later update it with a “T” model. OnePlus generally releases a new smartphone every seven months after the T version. OnePlus 3 was launched in June 2016, and OnePlus 3T came in November that same year. Same goes for OnePlus 5. It was launched in June 2017, and OnePlus 5T came in November 2017.
So, if OnePlus follow their usual trend, the OnePlus 6 should drop in by June 2018.
