Nokia 1 Leaked Online – The First Android Oreo Go Phone
The much awaited Nokia 1 details are slowly coming in - and it is being dubbed as the first Oreo go phone in the world. However, the price (if true) may not appeal to many!
Nokia 1 is going to be the first Android Go Phone, and it was leaked back in December. After leak of specifications, few images of the low-cost smartphone have surfaced online on Chinese microblogging site Baidu, and it has revealed some of the key design and features of the upcoming device.
The low budget Android Go phone from HMD Global could launch at the MWC this year, and the leaked images give us a vivid idea about the upcoming device.

Nokia 1 – Leaked Design & Features
The two images leaked online, has one image showing Nokia 1 placed inside a case, while the other image shows the actual smartphone. On the rear side of the phone, it device comes with a single camera coupled with a LED flash. Down under the camera, the Nokia branding logo is located, and images hint that the device might come with a plastic built on the out.
In terms of design, the Nokia 1 will somewhat resemble the previous Nokia 2. The earlier leak revealed the details of Nokia 1, and smartphone could be launch at the MWC in March 2018.
The Nokia 1 will come with an HD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and it will come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. The device will get powered by Snapdragon 212 processor and It is likely to be priced at around 5990 Rubles, which roughly cost Rs. 6,550 in India or maybe lower.
Nokia 1 vs. Nokia 2
The leaked images and specifications hint at a very similar design and set of features on both Nokia 1 and Nokia 2. The leaked images of Nokia 1 has a sheer resemblance to Nokia 2, and even the leaked specifications are very close to what Nokia 2 offers. Even the price points are very similar.
So, the real question is going to be, what will Nokia do with the Nokia 2?
If Nokia unveils a very similar device like Nokia 2 at a lower price point (as it is an Android Go phone). On the inside, the device will pack a better hardware with toned down apps from Android Go.
Android Go & Nokia 1
Google very recently announced their much ambitious Android Oreo Go edition at the Google I/O 2017. The new Go edition is specially meant for the low cost devices which come with 512MB or 1GB of RAM.
The new Go Edition aims to provide the all new Android updates to the masses and soon will be available as a part of their Android Oreo 8.1 release.
Nokia 1 is going to be the first Android Oreo (Go edition) phone, which is specially optimized for the the entry and low level handsets. The project aims at better performance along with built-in data management features and additional security benefits.

The Android Go phones will come with better software inside, which will help low end devices to run low end hardware better.
The new Android Go is also designed for special Google apps which includes Google Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, Gboard, Google Play, Chrome, and the new Files Go app, which will help to manage files and make it to run smooth on the entry-level handsets.
Further, Google has also created an all new section which will recommend popular apps that are tuned down to run well on these entry-level devices. The Android Oreo (Go edition) phones will hit the shelves in early 2018, with Nokia 1 to start with, followed by some of the domestic vendors in India.
