Whatsapp is now pushing the latest update to their app and web versions where the Facebook owned company is working on a set of new features like Private Replies in Group, Picture in Picture (PiP), Invites via Link, Shake to Report and more.
WhatsApp has already brought in a number of changes starting from material design to deleting sent messages to group restrictions. The company is also working on a new feature that will let users easily switch between voice and video during calls.

Latest Features In Whatsapp
The Web version has the two new features, Private Replies in Group and Picture in Picture (PiP Mode). On the other hand, app versions 2.17.424, 2.17.436 and 2.17.437 have latest features like Tap to unblock a user, New invite via a link and Shake to Report.
Private Replies in Group
The Private Reply feature on Whatsapp will now allow a user to reply privately in a group conversation. Users will now get an option called Reply Privately in a group chat. You can reply to a particular member and others in the group will not be able to see it. This new feature has spotted on the latest WhatsApp Web version.
Shake to Report
The next feature has been named Shake To Report. With this one can report any problems you face with WhatsApp. For this, you will just need to shake your device. It will open up the Contact Us section of the app where you can directly report your problem.
Picture in Picture (PiP) Mode
The new Picture in Picture support on WhatsApp will allow users to multifunction during a video call. You will now get a new icon in the app which will appear while you are in a video call. If you click on it, a picture in picture (PiP) mode will start in a new window. You can resize the video window (minimize or maximise) according to your needs.
Tap to Unblock User
With the latest WhatsApp update, you can unblock a person by just tapping on the contact. You just have to tap and hold any contact to unblock the person instantly and re-enable message sending directly.
Watch Youtube Videos Within WhatsApp
Now you can watch a YouTube video shared by a contact, within the WhatsApp itself. A pop-up window will open up within WhatsApp and you can directly watch the video without leaving the app. The feature will make multitasking easy for users as they can watch videos and continue with their chat simultaneously.
Invite Via Link
The Invite Via Link feature is already available on the iOS version, but will make its way into the Android version as well with the latest update. A group admin can now send a link to any of their contacts they wish to add to the group. The invitee can directly join the WhatsApp group via the link.
New Admin Settings
The new update will bring more control over sending messages in a group chat. Group admins will get more rights for editing group information. Also, users won’t be able to send any messages unless the admin allows the user to do so. In this way, the group admins can now broadcast message without interruptions.
