Xolo Launches The Era Series: Selfie Smartphones Starting at Rs. 4,999/-!

 

Xolo is trying to make a comeback in the Indian smartphone market after they got phased out in the last few years. The Indian smartphone company, which is a part of Lava, has launched three selfie smartphones as a part of the Era Series – Xolo Era 3, Xolo Era 2V and Xolo Era 3X. Xolo has partnered with Flipkart to sell these three phones exclusively on their e-commerce platform.

Xolo has also announced that all the three newly launched smartphones will come with an one-time, free screen replacement offer, which will be valid for one year from the date of smartphone’s purchase.

Xolo Era 3X: Specifications And Features

The Xolo Era 3X sports a 5 inch HD display and runs Android Nougat out of the box.

Display: The Xolo Era 3X features a 5 inch IPS LCD HD display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 2.5D Curved Glass on top.

Hardware: Era 3X is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.25GHz and is paired with 3GB of RAM.

Software: The smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Storage: Era 3X will offer 16GB of on-board storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB with an external memory card.

Camera: The Era 3X has a 13.0-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and an f/2.2 aperture. It also packs in a 13 megapixel front shooter with 2.2 aperture lens with Moonlight Selfie Flash.

Sim Support And Connectivity: The smartphone will support two SIMs and has 4G VoLTE support along with Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS with a micro USB port.

Battery: The Era 3X packs in a big 3,000 mAh battery which can easily power the phone for a day.

Fingerprint Scanner: The fingerprint scanner of this smartphone is located at the back, as is the norm these days.

Price and Variants: The Xolo Era 3X has been priced at Rs. 7,499/- and will come in a single, Posh Black colour variant.

The Xolo Era 2V sports a 5 inch HD display and 13 megapixel front camera with Moonlight Selfie Flash.

Display: The Xolo Era 2V will sport a 5 inch 720p IPS LCD HD display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

Hardware: The Era 2V will be powered by 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.25GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM.

Software: The smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Storage: The Era 2V will come with 16GB of on-board storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB with an external memory card.

Hardware: The Xolo Era 3 will carry a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor under the hood clocked at 1.25GHz and clubbed with 1GB of RAM.

Software: The Era 3 will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Preliminary Verdict

For Xolo, it is not going to be an easy task given the competition in the market right now. They are trying to focus on the dominating trend of selfies like their Chinese counterparts. But, winning back the lost market will be an uphill task for Xolo at the best. All the three phones are sensibly priced, with a decent set of specs on board. This combination has chances of succeeding in the semi-budget smartphone segment.
