Best PostPaid Plans Comparison: Reliance Jio Vs. Airtel Vs. Vodafone

Recently, we did a comparison of the best 4G prepaid plans available in India, and now we are going to compare the best of what the leading 4G operators have to offer via their postpaid plans.

In this comparison of the top 4G PostPaid plans offered by Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone, we will compare each and every aspect of the plans to give you a clear picture of what you can expect if you switch your telecom operator.

Note: The comparison takes into account only those plans which are mentioned on the official websites of these telecom operators, and not those which are available only to a select few subscribers.

Reliance Jio

If you enroll for Jio Prime membership before 31^st March 2017, then you can get the best of Jio plans offering unlimited voice calling bundled with unlimited 4G data. The current Jio Prime plans would be available to all Jio Prime subscribers till 31^st March 2018.

All Jio Prime plans come with an FUP policy capping the speed to 128 Kbps post the consumption of bundled daily high-speed data. Jio subscribers will also get free unlimited access to premium content via Jio apps on Jio 4G.

Besides no roaming charges (free incoming and outgoing), the best part about Jio is that its benefits are valid even on blackout days (Holi, Diwali, New Year, etc.) unlike RCom, BSNL, and others.

Jio Prime 303 – Rs. 303	This Jio Prime only plan offers unlimited local/national voice calls to any network within the country even during roaming, unlimited video calls, unlimited 4G data with an FUP of 1 GB/day, and unlimited local/national SMS.
Jio Prime 499 – Rs. 499	Jio Prime 499 plan offers all the benefits under the Jio Prime 303 plan, but extends the FUP policy to 2 GB/day. Other benefits include unlimited voice and video calls, and unlimited SMS/day.

PS: TRAI has restricted number of SMS to 100/day.

Airtel

To counter Jio, Airtel has also started offering 1 GB 4G/day to select subscribers via segmented offering, as this plan is not currently not available to the masses are will not take it under consideration.

Airtel Infinity plans are the best that Airtel has to offer to its postpaid customers. The plans start from Rs. 499 and go all the way up to Rs. 2,999.

Airtel customers on new 4G handsets will get 3 GB 4G data for 12 months at no extra cost with all Infinity plans.

Airtel Infinity Plan Rs. 799	The Infinity Plan costing Rs. 799 offers free roaming facility (incoming and outgoing), unlimited voice calls to any number in the country, 100 SMS/day, and 6 GB data for 4G users (4 GB for non-4G customers.)

Extra data For 12 Months– Airtel is offering 3 GB/month for 12 months on new 4G handsets for Infinity plans.

Vodafone

Vodafone is offering its best-postpaid offers under Vodafone Red lineup of postpaid plans.

Vodafone Red 499 – Rs. 499	The Vodafone Red 499 plan offers unlimited local/national voice calls to any number in the country, 1 GB 2G/3G data + 2 GB 4G data, free incoming while roaming, and 100 SMS for one billing cycle.
Vodafone Red 699 – Rs. 699	The Vodafone Red 699 plan also comes with unlimited voice calls to any number in India, 100 SMS per billing cycle, 2.5 GB data + 2.5 GB extra data for 4G users, free incoming calls during roaming while outgoing calls would be charged at standard rates.

These are some of the best postpaid plans that are currently available to the public in India. We also expect the segmented offers from Airtel and Vodafone to be made available to the public sometime in near future if all goes well.
