As far as online sales of homes go, Tata Homes is leading the way. They are the first large Housing development company in India to sell homes exclusively online. Last year Tata Value Homes and Snapdeal had partnered to bring exclusive online home bookings for Rs. 30,000.
Now, Tata Homes have joined hands with Facebook to launch “Social Sell”, a first of its kind initiative in India to sell houses in its upcoming project in Goa.
Under this new initiative, potential buyers can register themselves through Facebook to receive their unique 6 digit invitation code that will be required to make home purchase in a project codenamed “Goa Paradise”. Those who have the invitation code will be able to make their purchases online on October 26th, which will be available on first come first serve basis. The registrations are open from today for next ten days.
Codenamed, Goa Paradise, this new project is a premium resort themed residential project offering, where 1BHK to 3BHK homes are available for a starting price of Rs. 29 lakh. The homes could be termed as leisure or Holiday homes, and are expected to attract buyers from cities like Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore who need a Getaway in Goa. The proposed project is in close proximity to Goa International Airport and Zuari River. The development will be of 14 towers of 8 floors each, every floor has 6 to 7 flats per floor. Tata Homes Online Success
Tata Homes have been moderately successful in selling homes online – they have been able to sell around 2000 units through online platform so far, which comprises of less than 10 percent of their total sales. Tata Homes expects that the number should rise to about 50,000 units by 2020 and account for one-third of their total sales.
