Elasticbox Raises $9 Million Funding led by Nexus Venture Partners
Elasticbox, the company that enables developers and enterprises to create, deploy and manage applications quickly and easily on the cloud, has raised USD 9 million in Series A funding led by Nexus Venture Partners and Intel Capital. Both the VC firms had also participated in the company’s seed funding round along with a16z seed and Sierra Ventures.
ElasticBox was founded in 2011, and it aims at streamlining the development, deployment, and management of applications for any cloud.
The funds raised will be utilized for general expansion of their services, including thrust on their platform development.
Hike Messenger Raises $14 Million from Bharti Softbank Holdings
Indian mobile Instant messaging app Hike Messenger is set to receive $14 million in funding from Bharti SoftBank Holdings to scale up their operations. Mobiles messaging apps have seen tremendous growth in past couple of years, and Hike messenger is aiming to dominate this space in near future. Hike already has 15 million subscribers.
This $14 million investment is their Series B investment. They had raised $7 million Series A funding in April 2013. Hike was launched by Bharti Airtel Chairman’s son, Kavin Mittal in December 2012.
“The newly raised funds will be utilized to scale up further and become agile enough to dominate the instant messaging space”, a source told ET.
Appiterate raises $500K seed Funding from Saif Partners & Others.
Delhi based DSYN Technologies Pvt Ltd, makers of Appiterate, have raised USD 500,000 funding from Saif Partners along with other group of individuals including Greg Badros and Prashant Malik, both of whom hold senior positions at Facebook.
The funding will be primarily utilized to scale up their team. They currently have a team of 12 people from IITs and IIMs. They want to grow this team aggressively over next few months. Some portion of the money will also be utilized for marketing purposes.
Appiterate was founded in Jan 2013 by Mendiratta (CEO), Anuj Bhargva (CCO), Mayank Kumar (CTO) and Varun Sharma (COO).
Appiterate is essentially a WYSIWYG A/B testing platform that is available for native mobile apps. App publishers can easily see which design works well for their app by doing A/B testing.
