With house parties in full swing, ice cubes were a hot commodity. Blinkit delivered 6,834 packets by 8 PM, and BigBasket saw an astounding 1,290 percent spike in ice cube orders. At 7:41 PM, Swiggy Instamart delivered a peak of 119 kilograms of ice in one minute.
Bengaluru and Hyderabad Lead Tipping Trend
New Year’s Eve brought out generosity in many. Bengaluru led in tipping, with a total of ₹1,79,735, while Hyderabad saw the highest individual tip of ₹2,500. Delivery partners ensured seamless service during the busy night, earning heartfelt appreciation from customers.
Mocktails and Disposable Supplies Reflect Party Spirit
Non-alcoholic beverages like soda and mocktails gained popularity, registering over 200 percent growth. Disposable cups and plates also saw a 325 percent rise, highlighting the trend of eco-friendly and hassle-free house parties.
