After TRAI’s latest guidelines, major telecom companies in India launched new voice and SMS-only plans, catering to users who don’t need internet data. Previously, users had to purchase bundled plans due to the lack of specific options. Airtel, Jio, and Vi recently introduced these voice and SMS-only plans, but many believe they are priced too high. BSNL, which has always offered a voice-only plan, gained renewed attention after TRAI’s push.

Comparison of Voice and SMS-Only Plans by BSNL, Jio, Airtel, and Vi

BSNL’s Rs 439 plan is currently the most affordable option, offering unlimited voice calls and SMS for 90 days. Jio’s voice and SMS-only plan is priced at Rs 448, but it is valid for only 84 days. Jio also offers a longer-term plan for Rs 1748, with 336 days of validity.

Airtel’s plans are more expensive than both BSNL and Jio. Airtel’s Rs 469 plan is valid for 84 days, while its Rs 1849 plan offers 365 days of validity. Vi also provides a similar plan priced at Rs 470 for 84 days, offering unlimited calls and 900 SMS. Vi’s long-term plan, priced at Rs 1460, is valid for 270 days and includes unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day.

Overview of New Voice and SMS-Only Plans by BSNL, Jio, Airtel, and Vi

Here’s a comparison of the new voice and SMS-only plans offered by the telecom providers: BSNL’s Rs 439 plan is valid for 90 days and includes unlimited calls along with 300 SMS. Jio offers a similar plan priced at Rs 448, valid for 84 days, providing unlimited calls and 1000 SMS. Additionally, Jio has a long-term plan for Rs 1748, which is valid for 336 days and includes unlimited calls and 3600 SMS. Airtel offers a Rs 469 plan for 84 days, providing unlimited calls and 900 SMS, and a longer validity plan priced at Rs 1849, which is valid for 365 days and includes unlimited calls and 3600 SMS. Vi’s Rs 470 plan is valid for 84 days and offers unlimited calls with 900 SMS. Vi also provides a long-term option for Rs 1460, valid for 270 days, with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day.
