Ikonz Studios, a company specializing in Generative AI and managing digital intellectual properties (IPs) in the metaverse and blockchain sectors, has enlisted the support of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan as a strategic partner. Additionally, the company aims to secure more than $10 million through a Series A funding round, according to a high-ranking company official.
Amitabh Bachchan Joins Ikonz Studios as Strategic Partner for Exclusive Digital IP Development
Abinav Varma Kalidindi, the founder and CEO of Ikonz Studios, informed ET that Amitabh Bachchan has joined the company as a strategic partner. With Bachchan’s involvement, the company will exclusively develop various digital IPs based on his unique attributes.
Kalidindi further mentioned, “We are currently in advanced stages of due diligence with multiple investors globally and anticipate raising over $10 million in the Series A round.” Previously, Ikonz had successfully secured seed funding from esteemed investors such as Village Global, Woodstock Fund, and Polygon Studios. Village Global is an early-stage venture capital fund supported by renowned entrepreneurs like Bill Gates (Microsoft), Jeff Bezos (Amazon), and Mark Zuckerberg (Meta), among others.
He explained that a significant portion of the previous funding was allocated to the development of AI tools and the aggregation of IPs. Moving forward, the company intends to utilize the capital obtained from the Series A round to expand its global team, aggregate entertainment IPs, and create AI tools specifically designed for the entertainment industry.
