When it comes to Tata Nexon, it is currently the most popular electric SUV in the Indian market.
Recently, the vehicle manufacturer has launched the updated facelifts of both the Nexon and Nexon EV in the Indian market.
The new one looks futuristic and also offers a lot more in terms of features compared to the previous version.
Tata Nexon Gets High Voltage Alert
On one side, many people have adopted Nexon EVs, but we can deny the various instances where customers have actually complained about issues with the car.
It is worth noting here that the Nexon EV has been in the market since 2020, and even today, people face issues with it.
In a recent update from Hyderabad, a Nexon owner got a High Voltage alert on his instrument cluster while driving the car.
Supporting the incident, the videos and images of the Tata Nexon EV Max have been posted by the customer in a Facebook group.
In video and images, we can see the Nexon EV’s instrument cluster and also see the same car on a flatbed.
How Did This Happen?
Sridhar Ghanta, the owner, in his post said, “In the morning, I posted about Nexon EV’s water wading capacity, and by evening, I’m not happy to post this negative service delay experience. With hardly 5 months of EV Nexon ownership, my EV started flashing Hv system fault and came to a complete halt with only 16% charge left. It may be a software glitch, but I’m not happy with the delayed towing service. The entire day, I had to deal with this issue only. I hope Tata won’t disappoint in addressing this service issue.”
This incident happened when the owner took the car through a waterlogged section, and the issue on the instrument cluster came up after that.
Interestingly, the owner is not worried about the issue or the warning on the instrument cluster, but he is upset about the fact that the Tata dealership or service center was not quick enough to respond.
He said that the warning sign on the instrument cluster only appeared after he drove the car through the water.
For the unaware, Tata Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max both come with water and dust-resistant battery packs.
This simply means that the batteries are neatly tucked under the floor of the car.
As expected, there are a lot of wires under the body, and some of them carry high voltage current from the batteries to the electric motor.
So experts assume that there is a possibility that the water might have caused some issues in this system, and that’s why the warning popped up.
In response to this post, the comment section of this post is filled with mixed reactions about the car and the service center.
