Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced a transformative civil aviation policy aimed at enhancing air connectivity and boosting industrial growth. Under this initiative, a permanent helipad will be constructed every 45 kilometers, and an airport will be developed every 150 kilometers across the state.

The announcement was made during a dialogue with industrialists in Indore ahead of the Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit, scheduled for February 24-25 in Bhopal. The Madhya Pradesh Civil Aviation Policy-2025 outlines key infrastructural developments and financial incentives designed to position the state as a major hub for aviation and industry.
Boosting Air Connectivity with Financial Incentives
To encourage new flight operations, the state government will provide financial incentives to aviation companies:
- ₹7.5 lakh for each new domestic flight connecting Madhya Pradesh to other states.
- ₹10 lakh for every new international flight introduced.
Additionally, tenders will soon be invited for a helicopter service connecting Indore, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar, improving regional connectivity and supporting tourism.
MSME Development Policy to Strengthen Industries
Alongside the civil aviation policy, the state cabinet, chaired by Yadav, approved a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Policy to boost industrial investment. Key provisions include:
- Safeguarding investments exceeding ₹2.5 crore in small industries.
- Extending the same benefits to privately developed industrial areas as those offered to government-established zones.
These policies are expected to attract investors, enhance infrastructure, and drive economic growth in Madhya Pradesh.
A Game-Changer for Economic and Industrial Expansion
The Madhya Pradesh Civil Aviation Policy-2025 aligns with the state’s broader vision of positioning itself as an attractive destination for business, investment, and tourism. Improved air connectivity will facilitate faster movement of goods and people, making Madhya Pradesh more accessible for domestic and international investors.
With a strategic focus on aviation and MSME development, the government aims to create new business opportunities, employment avenues, and a stronger economic foundation for the state.
