Two Charging Networks Come Together
Hyundai Motor India and Jio-bp have entered into a strategic partnership to integrate their electric vehicle charging networks, creating a much larger charging ecosystem for EV users across India.

The integration will increase the number of charging points accessible through Hyundai’s myHyundai app from more than 30,000 to over 37,000. Jio-bp contributes more than 7,000 active charging points spread across over 300 cities.
Jio-bp Chargers Coming to the myHyundai App
Under the partnership, Hyundai EV users will be able to discover and use Jio-bp pulse charging stations directly through the myHyundai app.
The arrangement is not limited to Hyundai vehicles. The myHyundai platform is open to EV owners across brands, allowing them to locate and access the public charging points available through the platform.
This creates a more convenient experience for EV users who currently have to navigate multiple charging networks and applications.
Two-Way Network Integration
The partnership will work in both directions.
While Jio-bp’s 7,000-plus charging points will become accessible through myHyundai, Hyundai’s own DC fast-charging stations will gradually be added to the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app.
Hyundai currently operates 183 DC fast-charging stations, giving Jio-bp users another network they can access as the integration expands.
Fast Chargers Up to 480kW
Jio-bp’s charging network includes high-capacity DC fast chargers ranging from 60kW to 480kW.
The company says its network has a 96% uptime, an important factor for EV owners who increasingly want assurance that a charging station will actually be operational when they reach it.
The network also has a strong presence along major national highways, potentially making longer-distance EV travel more convenient.
Hyundai Plans 600 Fast-Charging Stations
Hyundai is also expanding its own charging infrastructure. The company plans to increase its proprietary DC fast-charging network from the current 183 operational stations to 600 stations by 2030.
The expansion comes as automakers increasingly recognise that charging infrastructure is becoming just as important as vehicle range in encouraging consumers to switch to electric cars.
Addressing ‘Charging Anxiety’
For EV owners, the concern is increasingly shifting from range anxiety to charging anxiety. Even when a vehicle has sufficient range, the availability, location and reliability of charging stations can influence whether consumers are comfortable making longer journeys.
By combining networks and making charging points accessible through digital platforms, Hyundai and Jio-bp are attempting to make the charging experience more predictable.
For consumers, the biggest benefit could be the ability to find more charging options without having to rely on a single network.
A Boost for India’s EV Ecosystem
The partnership comes at a time when India’s EV market is expanding and charging infrastructure is becoming a critical part of the country’s electric-mobility ecosystem.
A larger, more interconnected charging network could make EV ownership more practical, particularly for customers who frequently travel between cities.
If other automakers and charging operators adopt similar open-network approaches, India’s EV infrastructure could become increasingly integrated rather than divided into separate brand-specific systems.
Summary
Hyundai Motor India and Jio-bp are integrating their EV charging networks, expanding charging access through the myHyundai app to more than 37,000 points across India. Jio-bp adds over 7,000 charging points in 300-plus cities, including 60kW–480kW fast chargers. Hyundai also plans to expand its own DC fast-charging network from 183 to 600 stations by 2030.
