Full List Of 57 Countries Where Indians Can Travel Without Visa! (And Duration Of Stay)

India Passport Climbs to 80th Position

For the uninitiated, VoA is a special type of visa which is issued when the foreign national arrives to the country where he or she wants. Unlike standard visa process, in this particular process, the foreign nationals can skip the lengthy pre-arrival visa application process which made the international travel easier and more convenient.

Now, you would think that since this provision is given to a passport, then it would be so that every nation’s passport has a different approval rating and if there is such rating, then there must be a metric to measure that too.

The answer to all above is yes and the metric of the same is the Henley Passport Index report.

As per the 2024 report, with a visa-free to 57 countries, the Indian passport has climbed up in the global ranking to the 80th position.

There are variety of factors that determines a country ranking and these range from diplomatic relations, economic considerations, tourism promotion, and security concerns.

In order to avail the VoA, one has to submit the necessary documents at the airport. Notably, it should be kept in mind that VoA is issued for a specific period and a predetermined fee.
