Apple declared that it would be opening four more retail locations in India, including ones in Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.

Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail, Deirdre O’Brien, commended the ingenuity and fervor of Indian consumers while expressing excitement about the company’s planned expansion into the country.

Apple To Open Four More Stores in India

He said, “We’re thrilled to build our teams as we plan to open more stores in India because we’re inspired by the creativity and passion of our customers across this country.”

In 2024, the new retail locations are anticipated to open.

This announcement has come after Apple opened its first two stores in India, one each in Delhi and Mumbai in April 2023.

Apple is growing its local manufacturing operations in India in addition to its retail presence.

The business declared that all of the iPhone 16 models, including the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, are being produced in India.

Apple Manufacturing in India

Since 2017, Apple has been manufacturing iPhones in India, thus the local production of the most recent iPhone 16 Pro models is a significant achievement.

The iPhone 16, 16 Plus, and 16 Pro Max versions are made by Foxconn; the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, and 16 Pro models are made by Pegatron; and the base model is made by Tata Electronics.

Customers in India and abroad will soon be able to purchase the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which are manufactured in that country.

In the latest updates, Apple’s two stores situated one each in Delhi and Mumbai have reportedly achieved an impressive revenue of Rs 190-210 crore in the previous financial year 2023-24.

Interestingly, these two Apple stores seem to have clocked a monthly average sales of Rs 16-17 crore each consistently since the day of their launch.

A latest media report highlights that the overwhelming performance by revenue has put the stores among the top-performing retail stores of Apple worldwide.

“The two Apple stores have clocked monthly average sales of Rs 16-17 crore each consistently since their launch. The Mumbai store revenue has been a little higher than the Delhi one due to a larger size,” as per the media report.

Not only that, these Apple stores have met Apple’s expectations, matching some of the best-performing store launches, as per the report.
