A uniquely designed electric scooter from Pune-based startup Qargos has been spotted testing on Indian roads. Called the Qargos F9, the electric cargo scooter stands out with its enormous 225-litre storage compartment, a capacity comparable to the boot space of some small cars.
Unlike conventional electric scooters designed for personal commuting, the Qargos F9 has been developed primarily for commercial applications such as last-mile delivery, logistics, food transportation and mobile retail operations.

Qargos F9: An Electric Scooter Built Around Cargo Space
The most distinctive feature of the Qargos F9 is its unconventional design. Instead of placing the storage compartment beneath the seat, Qargos has positioned a large enclosed cargo section ahead of the rider.
The rider sits behind this storage area, giving the vehicle an unusual long-front profile. The compartment is concealed and illuminated, making it suitable for transporting goods in different operating conditions.
With 225 litres of storage capacity, the F9 offers considerably more space than conventional electric scooters. The company-designed cargo area can reportedly carry up to 120kg of goods.
Can Also Be Converted Into a Mobile Store or Refrigerator
The Qargos F9 is not limited to regular delivery operations. Its large cargo compartment can reportedly be customised for specialised commercial applications.
Potential configurations include a mobile refrigerator for transporting temperature-sensitive products and a mobile store for businesses that need to carry and display merchandise.
This could make the electric scooter useful for food delivery companies, grocery businesses, logistics operators and small entrepreneurs looking for specialised last-mile mobility solutions.
Qargos F9 Battery, Range and Performance
The electric cargo scooter is equipped with a 6.1kWh battery pack paired with a 3.4kW BLDC hub motor positioned at the rear.
According to the reported specifications, the Qargos F9 offers an estimated range of around 150km on a single charge. Its claimed top speed is approximately 80kmph.
The test vehicle spotted on public roads also appears to feature a circular LED headlamp, LED turn indicators, telescopic front suspension, a front disc brake and large wheels that could measure around 14 inches.
The scooter has a single-seat configuration, with the instrument cluster and handlebar positioned behind the front cargo compartment.
What Makes the Qargos F9 Different?
India’s electric two-wheeler market is largely dominated by personal mobility scooters. However, dedicated electric cargo vehicles could address a different requirement, particularly as e-commerce, food delivery and hyperlocal logistics businesses expand.
The Qargos F9 attempts to combine electric mobility with a large, configurable cargo area. Its 225-litre storage capacity and reported 120kg payload could make it an interesting option for businesses operating in urban areas.
However, the company has not yet announced an official launch date or pricing. Further details about commercial availability, charging time, warranty and fleet deployment are also awaited.
