Adobe MAX Unveils Innovative Features and Truecaller Enhances User Verification
New features for its suite of applications were unveiled during the Adobe MAX. Notably, the Adobe Adaptive profile for Lightroom stood out. This AI-driven feature offers predefined adjustments tailored to individual images, differentiating itself from existing profiles by analysing each photo to optimize tones and colours.
While the results are promising, the Adaptive profile currently supports only raw files, limiting its usefulness for photographers who primarily use JPEG or other formats.

Global PC Market Faces Decline Amid Economic Challenges and Rapid Refresh Cycles
On the flipside, due to the overall global economic challenges, there are growing concerns in the global PC market, as Gartner is reporting a 1.3% decline in shipments for Q3 2024.
The market is currently led by Lenovo, followed by HP. Notably, the demand for Windows PCs remains sluggish.
This moves us to our next question, wherein the tech industry should ask itself whether an upgrade is pertinent, especially in the light of companies continuing to release numerous devices annually. Due to the short refresh cycles, true innovation is eclipsed and hence a reconsideration of the same by tech industry is important.
