In response to the surge in passenger demand during the summer season, Western Railway has announced the launch of two new Tejas Superfast Special trains. These trains will run between Mumbai Central-Rajkot and Mumbai Central-Gandhidham, offering faster, more comfortable options for travelers. In addition, the frequency of select special trains has been increased and some routes extended.
Mumbai Central – Rajkot Tejas Superfast Bi-weekly Special

- Train 09005: Departs Mumbai Central every Wednesday and Friday at 23.20 hrs, arriving at Rajkot at 11.45 hrs the next day. Operates from 30 May to 27 June 2025.
- Train 09006: Departs Rajkot every Thursday and Saturday at 18.30 hrs, arriving at Mumbai Central at 07.30 hrs the next day. Runs from 31 May to 28 June 2025.

Booking for 09005, 09006, 09017, and 09018 began on 25 May 2025, while bookings for 09069’s extended journey started from 27 May 2025. Tickets can be booked at PRS counters or via the IRCTC website.
