Tata Play Binge was available only for the users who had a DTH subscription, but not anymore!

The OTT app by Tata Play will now be available for all smartphone users even if they don’t have a subscription to DTH.

Tata Play Binge Available For All Smartphone Users!

Tata Play Binge is an online content aggregator that offers movies, TV series, web originals, live sports from 17 streaming apps, and gaming.

Tata Play Binge’s plans start from Rs. 59 per month and allow customers to view content on more than 2 devices on one subscription simultaneously in addition to offering premium content from popular national, international and regional apps as offered by subscribed plans. 

Despite the fact that many OTT platforms are available for smartphones, Tata Play DTH subscribers are the only ones who can access Netflix Combo plans, and Binge users can access Amazon Prime Video with an add-on subscription.

All Subscribers Can Access Content From 17+ OTT Providers

With 90 million paid subscriptions, approximately 70+ OTT services in India today serve more than 450 million consumers. As more consumers need to sign up for multiple OTT services, the penetration at a subscriber level declines. Accessibility, availability, and affordability are the main barriers to the expansion of OTT subscription. We aim to alleviate these problems with our OTT platform that aggregates content, Binge.

As per him, all subscribers can now access content from 17 different OTT providers + gaming through a single subscription package starting at INR 59 per month. With Tata Play Binge, consumers can enjoy entertainment easily while also expanding their subscription base with our OTT partners.

The service will only work through the Tata Play Binge+ Smart set-top box and not on regular set-top boxes. The Smart set top box gives direct access to OTT apps including Netflix via the home screen and the remote. The box costs Rs 2,499 and another Rs 299 monthly for Tata Play Binge which has OTT apps.
