Google Pay Users Can Make Payments Using Credit Cards! How To Pay Electricity, Phone, DTH Bills With Credit Card On Google Pay
RBI recently brought changes to the use of credit cards on UPI platforms.
What’s New?
UPI transactions made through credit cards will now be as hassle-free as debit cards.
Users will be able to add their credit cards (including Rupay credit cards) on UPI platforms in order to carry out transactions.
Prior to this, UPI transactions were made by linking saving/current accounts to debit cards.
How To Link Credit Card Cn Google Pay
- Open the Google Pay app and tap on the profile icon on the top right corner.
- Click on the Bank account option.
- From the menu choose ‘Add credit or debit card’.
There are multiple options to add a credit card on Google Pay.
You can either scan your credit card or go for the manual process of entering details.
- Enter your billing address and mobile number for verification purposes.
After this is done, you can start paying via credit card.
UPI The Preferred Mode Of Payment
The UPI platform has exploded in popularity in India.
According to RBI, in May 2022 alone there have been about 594 crore transactions through UPI.
This has resulted in the processing of transactions worth Rs 10.4 lakh crore.
Now with the addition of credit cards, the numbers will only get bigger.
