Rs 4 Lakh Electric Car Launching In India On This Date: Indian Startup Has Made This Car With 200 Kms Range!
EVs in India are gaining popularity by the day with rising fuel costs among other things.
The Tata Tigor EV which costs upwards of Rs 10 lakh is currently the most affordable passenger EV.
Mumbai-based start-up PMV Electric wants to further lower the price band of EVs to the range of Rs 4 lakh, which is what it is doing with the EaS-E Micro Electric Car.

Cheapest EV In India
The name is an acronym combining eco-friendly and sustainable electric vehicle.
This is going to be the cheapest EV in India thus far.
It will be manufactured at the company’s Chakan plant and they intend to export it too
The two-seater EaS-E is going to arrive in July.
It is currently in the final prototype stage.
Dimensions
The car will measure 2,915 mm in length, 1,157 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, making it smaller than the Tata Nano.
It will have a wheelbase of 2,087 mm with a ground clearance of 170 mm and the kerb weight of will be around 550 kg.
Design-wise it is said to resemble the Citroen AMI and the MG E200.
Exterior
The front has a horizontal strip of LED DRLs running across the length of the bonnet while the circular headlamps are positioned below on the bumper.
It will run on 13-inch wheels.
The side features a large glass area, multi-spoke alloys and four doors ? however, it will have two seats only.
At the rear the car will sport LED tail lamps.

Battery, Range, Charging
The car is powered by a 10 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery paired with a 15 kW (20bhp) PMSM electric motor.
It will have a top speed of 70 kmph.

It comes in three range variants- 120/160/200.
A full charge will take about 4 hours with its 3kW AC charger.
Charging at a high or low temperature will affect the charging time and charge retention.
Feet-Free Driving
The company claims the battery cells will offer a lifetime of between 5-8 years depending on the usage of the vehicle.
The EV will offer an EaS-E driving mode for feet-free driving in traffic.
Here, one can drive forward with the press of “+” up to the speed of 20 kmph and brake by pressing “-” on the steering mounted controls.
Pre-Booking, Delivery
Pre-bookings are now open on the official site which users can book with a Rs 1,999 refundable deposit amount.
It will be sold pan-India from the first day of launch but on a D2C (direct to consumer) business model initially.
Deliveries will start from Q2, 2023.
As mentioned earlier, it is expected to be priced around Rs 4 to 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
It will be available in 11 colour options.
