Google confirmed at the I/O event that the Google Pixel Tablet is in the works, and finally now the internet giant will be joining the tablet bandwagon after a long break. Multiple companies have forayed into the tablet segment in the last couple of years, and Google’s Pixel tablet will take on the likes of Apple iPad and Samsung tablets. Google is planning to launch the Pixel tablet by 2023.
The Google Pixel Tablet will be powered by the company’s in-house Tensor chipset.
Google already launched a tablet before, the Pixel Slate back in 2018. The upcoming Google Pixel Tablet will be a second push to make an impact in the tablet market. Android tablets are making a comeback, and sales have seen a rise.
While Google is now working to create a hardware ecosystem backed by its strong world of software and applications. After smartphones, wearables, chromebooks, TWS, Google is now ready to get back into the tablet segment.
Coming to Google Pixel Tablet specifications, it will run on the brand’s in-house custom Tensor chipset. At the event Google teased the complete Pixel Tablet design. It will have large bezels around the display with a center positioned front camera and a single rear camera. Google also confirmed that the Pixel Tablet will act as a phone companion.
