While the entire telecom world is moving towards 5G, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited widely known as BSNL is finally stepping into the era of 4G connectivity. The state-owned telecom provider has gradually started rolling out the 4G connectivity.
BSNL 4G To Be Launched on Independence Day
However since the development is still in the process, the details of the official rollout of the 4G connectivity is yet to be provided by the telco. According to hearsay, it is said that it is on the eve of Independence day that the BSNL is going to launch its 4G service in the country. Let us all have a closer look at what the report says.
Sushil Kumar Mishra, consumer mobility director, BSNL said that 4G services shall be launched by BSNL with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as its technology partner and it shall be the first time that Indian technology will be used for 4G services.
BSNL to Expand 4G Services, Install Towers & Monopoles
Mishra added that the Telco is also planning to establish 1 lakh telecom towers and also expand its 4G services in the country. As many as 4000 towers are to be installed in Bihar. Also since smart towers, which are big and hefty, the company shall start implementing monopoles, which are less expensive.
However, there has been a history of rumours around BSNL and 4G surfacing on the internet every now and then. Hence, even though we too are excited for the same, we all suggest are users to take it with a pinch of salt. Lets see!
