Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed the upcoming flagship by the company will run on Qualcomm’s all new flagship chip. Jun didn’t reveal the Xiaomi 12 launch date, but it is said to debut on December 12. Qualcomm is yet to confirm the exact name, and is being referred to as “our newest flagship Snapdragon 8-series platform”. It could be called Snapdragon 8 5G Gen 1 mobile platform.
Popular internet leakster Digital Chat Station previously shared that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 phones will come with curved displays. Xiaomi 12 will feature an updated 50MP main camera, a Full HD+ AMOLED display of 120Hz refresh with a larger optical fingerprint scanner and 100W charging.
Xiaomi 12 may come with a zoom camera. Do remember, the company has now rebranded Mi series phones to ‘Xiaomi’.
The upcoming Xiaomi 12 features thin bezels with a very thin chin at the bottom. It will have a periscopic zoom lens with a rectangular design and an LED flash. Previously Xiaomi 12 was said to have a 200MP camera sensor. It will be the 200MP Olympus unit by Samsung, the South Korean tech giant is planning to use on the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra.
