Poco Laptop launch could be just a few weeks away. A fresh report leaked that a Redmi G series laptop battery has been spotted on a Poco branded laptop, which also received a certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Xiaomi already sells laptops under Mi brand and Redmi brand, and probably Poco is the new brand it could be launching a new series of laptops.
The leak revealed a Redmi G-series model battery, so it could basically be a rebranded Redmi laptop with a Poco label.
91Mobiles reported the leak in collaboration with popular tipster Mukul Sharma. It showed a Redmi G series laptop battery with build number G16B01W on the BIS website, but with the Poco branding. The G16B01W battery is said to be for the 16.1-inch Redmi G gaming laptop which has a 3,620mAh capacity.
POCO smartwatch and POCO tablet are also coming soon. The company is planning for a bunch of ecosystem products which include tablets, smartwatches, televisions and more. POCO is also working on a new software which will not be based on MIUI. POCO could unveil power banks, wearables and audio products under the brand’s first ecosystem products with tablets and smartwatches later.
The company previously confirmed the upcoming POCO software will differentiate itself from MIUI.
POCO will remain a smartphone focused brand but will expand into other categories apart from budget, mid-range and premium mid-range phones. Company global head asked fans to wait for POCO branded power banks, wearables and audio products apart from tablets and televisions.
Recently Realme and Nokia launched tablets in India, and POCO is now planning to enter the same category.
While the company has always focused on rebranded Redmi and Xiaomi phones, it’s said to be working on a specific POCO software UI. POCO is said to be working on a UI which will help itself to differentiate their own software from MIUI. Currently POCO phones only come with a POCO launcher but now it will probably develop a specific UI for the POCO phones not based on MIUI.
